I was so intrigued by Louis Dahl Wolfe’s photography I decided to do a series of collaborated art, where I’ve applied prints of famous Indian designers to her existing series of photos. I’ve taken inspiration from design aesthetics and prints of designers such as Anita Dongre, Ritu Kumar, Sabyasachi, and many more and recreated them by integrating the two. In conclusion, you’ll be seeing how I’ve accommodated the above-said prints of renowned designers on the exceptional work of Louis Dahl Wolfe.

Among the foremost fashion photographers of the 20th century, Louise Dahl- Wolfe brought a keen eye for composition and contrast to her work, which helped to redefine American fashion photography and influenced such masters of the medium. Her career in the world of luxury has its roots in a period of privation. Working in black-and-white and color, of which she was an early and astute adopter, Dahl-Wolfe shot 86 covers and many hundreds of spreads, pioneering the use of natural lighting, and shooting on location and outdoors, approaches that became industry standards

“California Desert 1948” is one of Louise Dahl-Wolfe’s many works. She’s revolutionized American fashion photography and was a standing inspiration for many aspiring photographers.
The above artwork has Anita Dongre’s signature summer floral prints placed on selected components of Wolfe’s original composition.

Mary Jane Russell, 1954, photographed by Louise Dahl-Wolfe. After meeting on a set, Russell quickly became one of Dahl-Wolfe’s favorite models. Dahl-Wolfe’s eccentric techniques coupled with Russell’s short stature and elongated neck resulted in unconventional photographs that brought personality and life to fashion advertisements. Dahl-Wolfe valued Russell’s input on shoots, making the photographs a joint effort.
To this, I’ve introduced an exquisite piece from Sabyasachi’s “2021 collection”.

To this picture, I’ve introduced a beautiful floral print inspired by Ritu Kumar’s recently launched brand “Aarke”
